This picture was taken at an Acker Bilk gig outdoors in Peterborough in July 2008. We won't forget this one - a dog barked all the way through Stranger On The Shore!!

I got to play with Al Grey (from the Count Basie Orchestra) on a delightful summers evening in the late 80's at the True Heart, an old coaching inn in the small village of Bishopstone, near Swindon. He played a storm and gave me some great encouragement. He signed this photo for me. Little did I know I'd be playing his part in the Back To Basie Orchestra some 15 years later! Al Grey
